My favourite coffee shop when I was younger, the one my Mom would take me to for a treat, was Baker’s Dozen Donuts. We always brought a dozen donuts home. Which, as you can guess, was really a baker’s dozen. Thirteen donuts instead of twelve.
And they were good. Big, fluffy, perfect. I can still taste them now.
This best of list is like that. It will leave a sweetly sour taste in your mouth. You will crave more and more of my depraved, sometimes insane, imagination.
I have an extensive library on Medium and had a devil of a time paring it down to a Top Ten Best. Instead, here is my list of my thirteen favourite stories from this year.
